Preventing it is not just the responsibility of the government or activists—it’s on all of us!
First, education must be our strongest weapon. Children, teenagers, and adults alike need to understand boundaries, consent, and how to stand against harassment. Schools, families, and communities must actively teach these values.
Second, we must create safe environments. Do not normalize sexist jokes or verbal harassment. If you witness suspicious behavior, take action—be a voice for those who cannot speak up.
Third, reporting systems must be accessible and free from intimidation. Many victims remain silent due to stigma. We must support them, not blame them!
Finally, social media should be a tool for education, not just drama. Let’s make courage, respect, and solidarity a part of our culture. If we stand together, sexual violence will no longer be a looming threat!- Affiliation
