Safe Spaces in Education: Concrete Steps to Prevent Sexual Violence
This is a Response to the Kekerasan Seksual wikithon
Educational environments should be safe and supportive spaces for all students, yet sexual violence remains a serious threat. To prevent it, schools and institutions must implement zero-tolerance policies toward sexual violence. Education about consent and personal boundaries should be taught early, both to students and staff. Additionally, accessible and safe reporting mechanisms for victims must be established, accompanied by adequate psychological support. Collaboration between schools, parents, and communities is also crucial to creating an alert and responsive environment. Through these steps, we can build a culture that respects the rights and safety of every individual in the educational sphere.
